A nice song by Talib al-Habib =)

Salaam~

Recently, I just listened to this song. That song is Rahma by Talib al-Habib. It is really a nice song and I like this song on the first time I listen to it (thanks to Saefullah for promoting the link at Facebook). For you information, this song focused on a hadith. Here is the hadith:

The Messenger of Allah (Allah bless him & give him peace) said,

The merciful are shown mercy by the All-Merciful. Have mercy to those on earth, and the Lord of the Heavens will have mercy upon you.

(Tirmidhi)

But I dont know who is Talib al-Habib. I bet some of you dont know him too. To be frank, the western nasheed artist that I know are Yusuf Islam, Maher Zain and Sami Yusuf only(I guess).

Who is Talib al-Habib?

Talib al-Habib was born in London in 1976 and grew up in Manchester, before moving to South Africa with his family for a ten year stay. It was here that he met his spiritual guide and began traversing the path of traditional Islam - the methodology of uniting the practical, intellectual and experiential facets of religion - under his instruction. He later returned to the UK in early 2002.

His distinctive style of inshad arises from a ten year childhood association with the Manchester Boy’s Choir, where he received vocal and technical training.

He began composing spiritual poetry and songs at the age of sixteen, and has continued to do so ever since. In early 2004, he was encouraged to compile a collection of English-language spiritual songs, which has culminated in ‘Songs of Innocence,’ an intensely personal journey into the experiential dimensions of Islam. He is also an author of three books of Islamic spirituality and ethics.

Talib has been a student of the sacred sciences for several years, which he pursues both through the traditional method of sitting with a shaykh, as well as through more contemporary approaches. He hopes to one day continue his studies at the classical centres of learning. Talib al-Habib is a takhallus (pen-name) meaning, ‘seeker of the beloved.’ Currently, he lives in the West Midlands, where he practises as a Medical Doctor specialising in Psychiatry. He is married with two young daughters. (source= Nur al-Habib)

Yes, he is a doctor and at the same time, he is also a singer.

His Albums

1) Songs of Innocence - 2004

Songs of Innocence is a collection of eight original English-language songs from Talib al-Habib. Its subject matter has been aptly described as, 'love of Allah, love of his Prophet, love of teacher, love of family, and love of mankind.' Adapted from a series of poems composed over ten years, they were set to music in a six month period following Ramadhan 1425, in response to the encouragement of several nasheed artists. Talib drew on his childhood experiences of choral singing in arranging the songs, and utilised the daff for percussion after consultation with recognised scholars of traditional Islam.

The Songs:

Adakah anda matang?

www.iluvislam.com

- Kalu perempuan plak, sesetengah tu amat matang ( macam mak orang) walaupun baru form4/form5. Kenapa ye? Kenapa perempuan cepat matang dari lelaki? Tp, maybe kita just observe dari jauh je, sb tu kata macam tu.

Anyway, these are just my personal opinions. Dont take them seriously. =)

Tp siyesly artikel ni dapat kita sama2 memuhasabahkan diri. Thanks~

Method to purchase at forum

Hello~

Today I would like to share the ways to purchase things from forum. Usually I buy at Lowyat and Malaysianbikers. These are several items that I bought:

From Lowyat

  • 2 units Kingmax Super Stick 4GB and 1 unit Kingmax U-Drive 4GB from Alvin Goh
  • USB Home Plug Adapter from ngbh
  • Maxtor Basic 640GB 3.5'' external hard disk from yoongkeen
  • Sony NWZ-S639F 16GB Black mp3 video player from fx2800

From Malaysianbikers

  • Stromberg power booster from hasanal
  • 2 units Xena XR1 disklock and Fieldsheer air pro from David Choo

How to buy?

  1. Decide which item you want to buy.
  2. Compare the prices between the sellers (use PM- private message)
  3. Try to negotiate with the seller.
  4. After you agree with the price, bank in the money into the seller's account. (WARNING: Buy the item from the seller that you think you can trust. Why? How? See below)
  5. Send PM to the seller your name, address and phone number.
  6. Wait for the seller to send the item to you.
  7. The postman/courier-man send the item to you.

Trust seller?

Well, this is the main issue when you are buying things online. I already bank in into somebody's account many times and can I confirm that he will send the item to me? The answer is easy. You must check the seller's reputation before making a deal.

  • Check his previous customer's feedbacks

  • Check his successful deal list

Meaning here, if his customers give credit to him ( positive feedback) and he truly sends the item to his customer ( successful deal list), he can be trusted and there is less probability for him to cheat you.

In a nutshell

Buying from the forum can be fun, but sometimes it can be pain. I personally but from the forum because some item that I bought was much cheaper than in Terengganu and I cant find the item at Terengganu. So, if you want to ask me something about this, I am ready to hear it. Just drop the comment. Also here is the other tips from Lowyat.net

p/s: I guess I need to change this blog's template.

Liverpool 1-0 Everton

It has been a long time since I post something about Liverpool in my blog. Just now, I went to Hazlan and watched the match, but I only watched the 2nd half. Liverpool played pretty good and thanks to Dirk Kuyt whom scored the winning goal. It is his 50th goal for the Liverpool. Liverpool now is in top 4 in the league. If Man City loses the game against Hull and Villa and Tottenham just draw, Liverpool's position will be secured. Ok, here's the match report.

-------------------------------------------------------------
Liverpool made light of losing a man in the first half to beat their local rivals and move, however briefly, back into the top four. Rafa Benítez attracted some derision when he guaranteed his side would secure a Champions League finish, though Liverpool are showing signs of their old solidity and have every chance of turning their season around.

Dirk Kuyt scored the only goal of the game with a straightforward header from a Steven Gerrard corner just before the hour, though inevitably the major talking point was the 18th red card in Premier League-era Merseyside derbies. Referee Martin Atkinson had shown a commendably lenient attitude as both sides went at it hammer and tongs in the first half hour – commendable in that had he applied the letter of the law there may only have been eight players on each side by half-time.

But he erred on the side of generosity in only showing a yellow card to Steven Pienaar for a horrific challenge on Javier Mascherano, and the game had still not settled down into a football contest by the time Marouane Fellaini and Sotirios Kyrgiakos converged on a 50-50 ball in the 33rd minute. Both players went over the top, but whereas Fellaini was lucky to escape unpunished for stamping on the Greek defender's ankle, Kyrgiakos launched himself two-footed into the tackle and was dismissed for ending his opponent's participation.

Anfield howled in protest, but Liverpool actually did quite well with 10 men, with Mascherano excelling as emergency right-back, whileEverton failed to make the most of their numerical superiority despite sending on Michel Arteta as a replacement for Fellaini. Gerrard hit the bar with a free-kick at the end of the first half, before Tim Cahill botched the clearest chance of the game by uncharacteristically missing the target with a free header. When neither Tim Howard nor Phil Neville managed to prevent Kuyt nodding in Gerrard's corner from a stationary position in front of the Everton goalkeeper, the match was over, though not without another bad-tempered outbreak after Gerrard was booked for sliding into the already prostrate Pienaar.

Match Facts

Next Match : vs Arsenal on 10 Feb 2010 ( 3 days to go)

* Some preview about next match:

  • The Reds go in search of their first away victory against the Gunners since Titi Camara helped us to a 1-0 win at Highbury.

  • Arsenal moved to the Emirates in 2006 and it's a venue Liverpool have yet to win at, having secured three draws and suffered two defeats.

  • Arsene Wenger's outfit have already defeated the Reds this season, coming from a goal behind to claim a 2-1 win at Anfield in December.

Cards and Stamps =)

Salam~

Finland

Poskad

Pernahkah kita menonton siri kartun The Moomins di negara kita?

Poskad (Belakang)

Ya, nama budak tu Ruby and she is soooo cute.

Setem

Canada 2010, mungkin sukan Olimpik musim sejuk ( sebab gambar hoki ais).
